for All Volunteer Workers with Children and Youth!
Please join us for a Safe Sanctuaries training session on Sunday, January 7 from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. (light lunch begins at noon) in Fellowship Hall. This training satisfies your annual training requirement and includes:
• A review of key aspects of Safe Sanctuaries policy, including mandated reporter responsibilities. (Rev. Eddie Cameron – Pastor for Christian Formation and Evangelism at FUMC in Lancaster)
• Small group problem-solving and discussion of several scenarios that apply Safe Sanctuaries policy to common situations with children and youth. (Matthew Davis – Director of Children and Youth Ministry at Glossbrenner UMC)
“Miss Jan” Betty, from our Mount Joy Milanof-Schock Library, will again offer a special program for toddlers through teens while adults attend the training. Nursery will be provided for those who register.
Thank you for your commitment to support a healthy and safe environment for children and youth. – GUMC Safe Sanctuaries Committee
